Synopsis:
A lonely, but otherwise typical high school boy, living an otherwise typical life: Mingfei Lu. His life would take a decidedly unexpected turn after receiving an acceptance letter from the Cassell College, a school he never applied to. This peculiar academy, with its eccentric faculty and quirky student body, has as its mission to kill the enemies of humanity, dragons, by gathering humans from around the world who themselves have the blood of dragons within them. Mingfei Lu finds himself hurled into the battle against the lords of dragons, who had been sleeping for a thousand years, as he learns the truth behind the hidden history of humanity’s war against Dragon Raja.

What I Like
- To be honest, the biggest reason that I watch this donghua is because I like the female characters. Oh, also because I love story about dragon. Although in this donghua dragon is the enemy.
- While season 1 doesn’t impress me in the slightest, season 2 has improvement in the story and is enjoyable to me, which is why I give this donghua a rating of “Love to Watch, casually” and not “A Good Time, But Will Probably Forget It Tomorrow”.
My Other Comments
Before I start making my comment, I feel like I need to apologize if I’m being too harsh. Considering how popular the novel is, I’d like to believe that it must be good. Maybe I will have more sympathy towards the protagonist if I have read the novel. This donghua has a trope that I usually call “Loser’s Fantasy”. I don’t have any negative feeling to protagonist who is weak or timid. In my decades of watching anime, I’ve had several favorite protagonist who is timid and weak at the start of the series. What annoyed me is a protagonist who keep falling into the same hole, remaining the same “loser” in the span of 2 donghua season. He has friends and senior who always take care of him. Nono give him her diving suit and end up dying. I thought he has learn a lesson from that. Maybe trying to find the reason why people give you S-rank and try not to become a burden in each mission. But then he do the same thing with Chu Zihang in season 2😂. I don’t know, maybe he will change in season 3 and I’ll like him more.
