Synopsis:

Jing Jiu, a recluse in mountain village on Chaotian Continent, unexpectedly takes in the innately gifted Liu Shisui as his servant. By chance, the two arrive at the Qingshan Sect, but are met with criticism for the “ordinary” Jing Jiu’s use of the “extraordinarily gifted” Liu Shisui as a servant. At the Sword Inheritance Conference, Jing Jiu also meets Zhao Layue from Shenmo Peak. The incredibly lazy Jing Jiu simply desires quiet cultivation, but fate entangles the three of them in a vast jianghu conflict…

  • A cold, handsome and laid-back protagonist that secretly very strong

What I Like

  • I like Jing Jiu modelling. He’s very handsome. I always like a protagonist with nonchalant attitude that is secretly very strong.
  • It’s kind of flat, but it arouse my curiosity about what’s happening in the past and what will happen in the future. Jing Jiu is actually Grandmaster Jing Yang in another form. Everyone thought grandmaster Jing Yang has ascended to heaven but his ascend was failed. Someone was actually tampered with his ascension. After his ascension failed, he turned into Jing Jiu. There’s many mystery that yet to unravel.

My Other Comments

  • Jing Jiu is kind of too cold for my taste. Not exactly cold😂. It’s just that he doesn’t really have much emotion within him. It’s suitable with his identity as a former Grandmaster. It’s just I don’t like how he looks like he doesn’t really care about Liu Shisui. But we’ll see what will happen in season 2.
  • I feel like when this donghua finally has more season it would become more exciting.
