What I Like

I like the way the main protagonist, Huo Yuhao, fights enemy with his power. I think it’s because he has many different types of power. He can mentally attack his opponent, he can also use ice element, necromancer-related power, not to mention his proficiency in making soul-guiding tools.
I really like Tang Wutong, who is really beautiful & strong. Her butterfly martial soul also really beautiful.
I also like Tang Wutong relationship with Huo Yuhao that change from enemy to friend, then from friend to lover.
I think the steampunk element in this donghua is cool, although sometimes its combination with soul power are awkward.
I love the opening and ending song.
Several of side characters are also lovely.

My Other Comments

One of the story of this donghua is the revival of Tang Clan. But maybe because I haven’t really watch Soul Land (the 1st series), I don’t have any attachment whatsoever with this Tang Clan 😂.
While I generally like the new Shrek Seven Devils, such as Xu Sanshi & Xiao Xiao, I don’t really have much attachment to them as a group.
Sometimes I feel they rush the story.
