Recommended if you like:

  • Fantasy cultivation story where you constantly leveling up
  • Story about friendship and family

What I Like

  • Actually the biggest reason I watch this donghua is because I like some of the characters & their brotherhood, like Qin Yu, Xiao Hei & Fei Fei.
  • The story is sufficiently interesting, about how Qin Yu rise in power with different cultivation system without nascent soul where he open stars and universe inside his body. He need to be strong to protect his family & to be able to be with his love, Jiang Li.

My Other Comments

  • To be honest, sometime the world building is outside of my imagination. Like, what do you mean you have cultivate for 10 million years? I just can’t wrap my head around this.
  • Aside from that, I think the cultivation structure in this donghua is also too grand to my taste. Continuously leveling up from mortal realm, to immortal realm, to divine realm, and so on. There’s just so many layer. While that’s somewhat exciting, sometimes I get overwhelm and needs some breathers in between.
  • It took me quite a long time to finish the 1st season because there’s barely any prominent female character in season 1. Not to mention I don’t like Qin Yu’s outfit there😂. But looking back, I actually feel the most touched when watching season 1 compared to the other seasons. This is probably because that’s when Qin Yu was still struggling. It’s quite sorrowful, and I have a lot of sympathy for him.
