Synopsis:

This story revolves around two teenagers of different identities and different cultural backgrounds – Fa Hua and Lan Ge, whom because of a magic weapon “Peerless Pearl” were connected together to save humanity. The two teenagers have a symbiotic relationship because of the artifact, which makes the two teenagers with very different personalities need to go through a variety of tests together. With that, the relationship between the two see subtle changes, and they began to understand each other, and gradually the two became as close as siblings. Can they take up the heavy responsibility to fight the upcoming attack of the demons?

What I Like

  • I always love story about friendship, moreover brotherhood between people with different personality. Fa Hua is calm & disciplined while Lan Ge is playful & free-spirited. At first they dislike each other, but over time their bond become stronger. The fun and chemistry come from these two polar opposites.
  • The Red Treasure Queen also an interesting character. She went from wanting to kill Fa Hua and Lan Ge to sacrifice her life to save them. I also love Lan Ge’s parents. They’re funny.
  • This donghua also have quite a lot of comedy so it’s quite hilarious & entertaining.

My Other Comments

  • Tbh, I don’t really like Lan Ge’s outfit. Many people maybe like to see how he always show his nipples & abs, but not me😂. He’s still handsome tho & I still like Lan Ge.
  • I like how there’s Huo Zhanji here. But I also don’t really like how I never really see him in action in this donghua 😂.
  • The novel actually consist of 7 volume (1 for each Seven Heavenly Beads). The story where Fa Hua and Lan Ge is the main protagonist end here. But maybe because there’s continuation in other books (about other protagonist), the ending feels a bit hasty.

  • This donghua is adapted from novel that shared the same author with Soul Land & Throne of Seal. Which is why Huo Yuhao’s son also appear here for a mission.
