What I Like

I like the concept of this donghua where everyone has the chance to become a hero, as long as they can get high Trust value. It’s also interesting how their ability is tied to their fans wish/belief, since usually heroes’ abilities depend on themselves. In To Be Hero X, people who put trust on you & your fans can affect a hero’s power, much like influencer & their followers. This donghua also dabbled on intricate scheming of high ranking people & public image manipulation.
X’s ability to manipulate reality through 2D & 3D conversion is brilliant & creative. The visuals were impressive, it gives me a thrill whenever I’m watching him.
I like the music in this donghua. It’s so good.
Some of the heroes are lovely and has good story.

My Other Comments

The concept and structure of this donghua are actually cool but the implementation left something to be desired. The idea of each hero has their own arc connecting the worldview and storyline is also interesting, but I feel like not every arc is equally compelling and some of them don’t hit the mark. This make my enjoyment when watching is inconsistent. I love some arcs while not really liking other arcs. This donghua end in a cliffhanger. There’s some other donghua that end in a cliffhanger but usually its climax already finished. To Be Hero X season 1 on the other hand, end on its climax right before the big battle & we need to wait for the next season to see it, which is kind of awkward.
