Synopsis:

Shen Yuan, an avid reader, finds himself in the novel he hates the most, “Proud Immortal Demon Way”. After finishing the book, he accidentally triggered an activation code, thus transmigrating into the body of the antagonist, Shen Qingqiu. To change his fate, where Shen Qingqiu was ultimately exposed by the protagonist, Luo Binghe, and died in disgrace, he must befriend the Luo Binghe and embarked on a long road to redemption.

What I Like

I don’t usually watch transmigration stories, but when I do, it’s the funny type 😂. The story is quite funny because Shen Yuan needs to undo all the bad impressions that Luo Binghe had due to Shen Qingqiu’s previous cruel treatment, which often results in funny misunderstandings.
One of things that make this donghua interesting is because the system forbid Shen Qingqiu become out of character (OOC) so Shen Yuan must rack his brain & use his creativity to befriend Luo Binghe
I find Shen Yuan as Shen Qingqiu entertaining. The way he’s cursing the system & then seamlessly pretend to be an elegant master is so funny. I also like his enemy -close friend relationship with Liu Qingge. Luo Binghe is also adorable.

My Other Comments

This donghua was made in 2020 and even by 2020 standard the animation is not good. It’s stiff and looks low budget, but somehow I think it contributes to make the donghua funnier😂. So despite the bad animation, I don’t really mind it.
Tbh, I’m not a fan of master-disciple romantic relationship, particularly when the master took the disciple when he/she was still very young. But the romantic tone in this donghua is still minimal so I’m ok.
Sadly it’s only 10 episodes so the story is left hanging. I wonder why they made it only 10 episode. Donghua usually has 12 – 26 episodes in 1 season. With the strict censorship in China, I don’t even know if there is hope of continuation.

This donghua is adapted from the novel “Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System” by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, the same author who create Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation & Heaven Official’s Blessing.
