What I Like

• I usually dislike a character who is too good to people because a lot of times I think they’re just overly naive, but somehow I like Shen Qiao. He always gives the benefit of doubt when someone close to him seems to betrays him, but he is also someone who is firm with his principles and resolute when he has confirmed the truth. Yan Wushi is also an interesting character. The contrast between Shen Qiao, who has a good temperament and restraint, and Yan Wushi, who is unpredictable and seems carefree, is compelling.
• I like the story of martial arts world in this donghua. It reminds me with the time when I was obsessed with wuxia.
• I think the action scenes are also done well in this donghua. It’s quite exciting.

My Other Comments

Somehow I think that Yan Wushi see Shen Qiao as something amusing, a rare existence. He constantly test Shen Qiao. Maybe because in the martial arts world it’s really hard to find someone like Shen Qiao who remains pure, kind, selfless and upright. Yan Wushi is from evil sect but he’s not conventionally evil. Likewise, from Shen Qiao’s point of view, he might think Yan Wushi is bizarre & unconventional. Both of them also met when they’re already adult, so that’s a plus for me. Tbh, I’m bored with story where the couple somehow always has connection when they were a child 😂. I like that type of story when I was young adult. But nowadays I prefer love story when the couple meet after they’re adult.
