Synopsis:
The story begins with the sudden appearance of a red moon in the sky, an event known as the Red Moon Incident. The remaining survivors are forced to seek refuge within walled cities for protection. Among the survivors, some undergo a psychic mutation. Those unable to control this mutation emit a psychic plague, radiating contamination that affects the normal people around them, posing a grave threat to the surviving humans. To address these sources of contamination, the Walled City establishes a special Pollution Cleanup Department, recruiting individuals capable of controlling psychic energy. Our protagonist, Lu Xin, is currently applying for the most dangerous cleanup division!

What I Like
- I like the setting of this donghua. So 35 years ago, a red moon suddenly appear and made 70% of world population become crazy due to mental pollution. The survivors then live in walled cities. Anyway, among the survivors, there’s still source of mental pollusion. People who affected can turn into mental monster. But there are people who contaminated with mental pollusion but still can manage their sanity. These people are called capable people. The protagonist, Lu Xin, is one of the capable people.
- The protagonist has family that no one beside him can see. A dad, a mom, and a little sister called Seventeen. He can borrow power from his family. I wonder who these family are. Are they just personality disorder, or truly Lu Xin’s family? Or maybe they’re spirit entity? Whoever they are, I love the relationship between Lu Xin with his mom and his sister. The father is too violent tho.
My Other Comments
- So far I like the inspection department/ Pollution Cleanup Department members. Colonel Chen, Gecko, Doll, and Drunkard, all seems cool & have interesting power.
- Tbh, I still wonder what is the motive of the villains (Technology Church). They create many humanoid robots & when they incite chaos in Qinggang city, it seems they do it to collect data. But what they need the data for is still unclear. For research?
- The story in season 1 is still the beginning so we still don’t know much about the protagonist’s past. He was in orphanage & somehow there was an explosion that destroyed it. Make me feel there’s something fishy about that orphanage. Or was the protagonist involved in the destruction/explosion?
