• Danmei, although it’s toned down a lot due to censorship

What I Like

• Tbh, I didn’t like the art style where the animation blend 2D with 3D. I heard it’s actually 3D but rendered with 2D or something. But the story is interesting so I still finish it until the end.
• I like the main characters. They try to kill each other the first time they meet😂. Although after watching this donghua, I read spoilers of the novel and these 2 main characters are actually not enemy at all😂. Nevertheless, I like the dynamic between the main characters.
• There’s a lot of plot twists in this donghua. I like when a story make me keep guessing. Although it’s actually also make me confused about the main storyline. Is the core story the power struggle between supernatural faction? Or is it the balance between ordinary people & Special Abilities? Why there’s people that want to ressurect Sheng Lingyuan & ignite the Chiyuan fire again? Why people put out Chiyuan fire in the first place?

My Other Comments

• Tbh, I feel that this donghua should do better in showing the tragedy between Sheng Lingyuan and Alozin, also when Sheng Lingyuan was forced to exterminate Wu people. It potentially become a heartbreaking scene, but it’s kind of difficult for me to emphatize with Alozin’s struggle. He is shown more like a clingy obsessive brother & the donghua just don’t really show his disillusionment with Sheng Lingyuan well. The Wu people in this donghua also feels passive and somehow just do things according to Alozin’s will.
• I wonder who the traitor from Deviant Control Office. Seems like there’s a spy in the organization.
