Synposis:

What I Like
- I like the setting. This donghua took place in futuristic world with spaceships, etc. It combines science fiction with cultivation. The MC is a genius craftsman who wants to fulfill his dream to enter the best university and become prominent craftsman. Unfortunately, despite being a genius in combat, his spiritual root is low, making other students with high spiritual root can bully him. By chance, a strong cultivator did time travel to the future & try to overtake his body. Somehow he obtain the knowledge to become strong, meeting good mentor & senior that guide him.
- I’ve seen many stories of underdog turning the table & rising to the top. This one is among several that I like because it’s kind of exciting, although sometimes the bullying, competition scenes and arrogance of higher class feels typical.
My Other Comments
- I think the first season of this donghua is still just the beginning. There is climax, but it end in cliffhanger.
- The subtitle of this donghua in the legal Yuewen Youtube channel is bad, I must used my intelligence & my abysmal Mandarin language skills to properly understand it. Not because the story is difficult – the story is quite easy to understand – but because the translation just awful.
- Tbh, I still don’t understand about this 40.000 years cultivation. The cultivator that time travel to the future & now live in Li Yao’s mind sea doesn’t seems to be that old & powerful 😂. When I heard cultivation of 40.000 years, I was expecting someone with almost half of Xu Yang’s power😂. But maybe he hasn’t shown his full power yet.
