Synopsis:
Pei Qian, an ordinary working-class man, unexpectedly becomes connected to a wealth conversion system, giving him a chance to start his life anew through spending money on business. However, the system stipulates that he only earns one yuan for every hundred yuan he profits, but all losses go into his own pocket. In order to lose money, Pei Qian chooses the high-risk, money-burning game industry, deliberately creating a series of “alternative” games that defy market rules. Each game unexpectedly becomes a hit, making him incredibly wealthy, and he painfully becomes a “business genius” admired by many. But only Pei Qian knows the truth: “I really just want to lose money…”

My Comment:
I actually watch this donghua because I watch the live action version, “No Pain No Gain”. I was surprised that there’s quite a few big differences. While the donghua is funny, I think the live action do well in making the plot more logical than in the donghua. I feel like the story and personality of the characters in the donghua are too “comical”. But hey, isn’t that what some people love about animation? So just watch it if that’s what you like.
